My personal journey: 'How Vulnerability Creates Change'
In YES! Magazine, I recount my Scouting story, and how it helped me realize the power of vulnerability as a tool for change and inspiration.
Hello, dear readers.
I’m off this week celebrating my birthday with a little trip through New England. But I didn’t want to leave you hanging, so I have something exciting to share.
This month I had the absolute honor of being included in the “Personal Journeys” issue of YES! Magazine, a publication dedicated to solutions journalism.
My essay, titled “How Vulnerability Creates Change,” tells the story of how I came out in Scouting, and what it taught me about the power I had to inspire others. You may already be familiar with that tale (I’ve told it here a few times), but in this version I also talk about my experiences during the pandemic, in the workplace and with this newsletter (it all comes full circle!)
If you’d like to give it a read, you can find it at the link below.
Great stuff, Mike. I always learn something from your interviews and posts. Keep up the excellent work. Thanks for sharing your story.
